You can also, with the permission of your IS advisor, choose an elective from special topics courses offered by the Business Management and Computer Science departments, as well as from information-centered courses offered by other departments. As an example, the Department of Sociology and Anthropology offers Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which could be used as an elective.
If you are a Computer Science major, we will encourage you to take an elective outside of the Computer Science Department, and if you are a Business Management major, we will encourage you to take an elective outside of that department.
If you are a Business Management minor or a Computer Science minor, you cannot count the same courses again for the Information Systems minor. If you are a double-major in Computer Science or Business Management, you will need to take two Information Systems electives.
